Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of Asian Pan-Pacific Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (APPSPGHAN) and Malaysian Paediatric Association (MPA), I am delighted to invite you to the 15th APPSPGHAN Scientific Congress in conjunction with 43rd Annual Congress of MPA taking place in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia from 12th—15th October 2022.
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed every norm and left us with many uncertainties in our life. However, the Congress still aims to bring together friends, colleagues and young researchers from around the world to share their knowledge, results of their research and expertise, as well as to establish network and to forge new friendship and collaboration.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to all the distinguish speakers from Asia-Pacific, North American and European countries who avail themselves during this uncertain time to contribute for this exciting meeting.
The meeting is made possible through the collaboration of APPSPGHAN and MPA. I would also like to express my sincere thanks to APPSPGHAN President Professor Suporn Treepongkaruna, MPA President Dr Selva Kumar, Congress President Professor Way Seah Lee, as well as the organizing and the scientific committee for their full support. They have been working tirelessly to make this meeting a successful one.
The theme of this meeting is “Beyond Kids’ Gut & Liver – Towards Holistic Care”. In this meeting, we will be learning many interesting, updated advances in paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition. Areas of special interest or emerging importance such as inflammatory bowel diseases, liver diseases in children and liver transplantation, functional GI disorders, intestinal failure, malnutrition in different medical scenarios, feeding issues in children, etc. will all be covered. In addition, four pre-congress workshops in scientific writing, GI and liver histopathology, nutrition and growth as well as hands-on in endoscopy have been planned. All these workshops will be led by the experts from the respective fields.
I firmly believe that this Congress will provide invaluable opportunities to facilitate high quality professional development.
