Then don’t worry! Come and attend this Academic Writing Workshop. The purpose of this workshop is to allow the participants first-hand experience of interacting internationally renowned researchers and authors in paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition.

Professor Mark Beattie is Professor of Paediatric Gastroenterology and Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist at Southampton Children’s Hospital, Southampton, UK. He was the Editor-in-Chief of Archives Disease in Childhood (2010-2013) and has authored multiple revision texts for the MRCPCH Examination. Currently he is the editor Editor-in-Chief of BMJ Open Gastroenterology. He has published more than 100 articles in various international journals.
Professor Christopher Boey is Professor of Paediatrics at Faculty of Medicine, University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He was the Deputy Dean for Post-graduate study at Faculty of Medicine, University Malaya for many years. He has published widely and has supervised many post-graduate trainees.

Professor Toh Teck Hock is an Adjunct Professor for SEGi University and Sunway University, as well as the Special Olympics Asia Pacific Regional Clinical Advisor in Health Promotion®, Vice President for the National Early Childhood Intervention Council, Council Member for Sarawak State Council for Early Childhood Education and Development, National Assessor for the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative and Secretary of the Association for Children with Special Needs Sibu. He has spoken at conferences around the world and has also published parent-teacher handbooks on ADHD, language development and breastfeeding, as well as children reading/colouring books, and books on Chinese literary prose and short stories. He received The Outstanding Young Malaysian Award in 2010, Special Education Network in Asia Advocacy Award in 2018, and other awards/prizes for academic/work achievement over the years.

Come and join this Hands-on Endoscopy Workshop. The purpose is to allow the participants to learn from renowned and experienced gastroenterologist and endoscopist in common paediatric GI pathology.

Professor Katsuhiro Arai is a senior Professor of Paediatric Gastroenterology, also the Director and Head of Division of Gastroenterology for The National Centre for Child Health and Development, Tokyo, Japan. Professor Arai has tremendous experience as a trainer for paediatric endoscopy. He has travelled extensively in the Asia-Pacific region to provide training courses. He also published very widely in paediatric inflammatory bowel disease.
Dr Alvin Khoh Kim Mun is a senior Paediatric Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist practising at Gleneagles Hospital Kota Kinabalu. He is also the visiting gastroenterologist at Women and Children’s Hospital of Likas, Sabah. He has very extensive experience in interventional paediatric endoscopy.
Assoc. Prof Dr Ng Ruey Terng is a Paediatric Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist practising at University of Malaya Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur. He is one of the trainer for paediatric endoscopy in the country.

Professor Aileen Wee, Professor of Pathology and Emeritus Consultant Pathologist from National University of Singapore, is an international renowned hepatobiliary histopathologist. She has travelled extensively in the Asia-Pacific region to conduct cytopathology and hepatobiliary histopathology workshops.
Dr Nik Raihan Nik Mustapha was a senior consultant histopathologist at Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah, Kedah, Malaysia prior to her recent career break. She has special interest in liver and gastrointestinal pathology and has delivered many lectures on inflammatory bowel disease. She had also recently produced an IBD histopathology reporting guide for national use.
Dr Pavitratha Puspanathan is an Anatomic Pathologist from Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah, Kedah, Malaysia. She has a special interest in gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary pathology. She recently completed her subspeciality training at The Royal Free Hospital London.

Her research interest includes childhood nutrition, paediatric inflammatory bowel disease and liver transplantation.

Professor Robert Murray spent over 20 years in the field of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition in the Ohio State University School of Medicine. Most recently he has been appointed as Professor of Human Nutrition and Director of the Center for Healthy Weight and Nutrition, Ohio State University College of Medicine Columbus, Ohio. He is the President of the Ohio Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has spoken widely on early life nutrition.

Professor Sanja Kolachek is Professor and Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist at Children’s Hospital Zagreb, Zagreb, Croatia. She is also the current President of European Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition (ESPGHAN). Her research interest includes celiac disease and children with special nutritional needs.
